Aunt Helen’s Secret Cherry – Pineapple Dump Cake Recipe

INGREDIENTS


(#1) 1 can Cherry pie filling and 1 20oz can of crushed pineapple (drained but not dry). Do not drain the Cherry pie filling, only the crushed pineapple.

Combine these 2 and mix well.

(#2) 1 box of Yellow Cake Mix (use only about ¾ of the box)

(#3) 1 cup Coconut

(#4) ½ to 1 cup chopped Pecans or Walnuts (Pecans taste better)

(#5) ¼ cup plus 2 tablespoons Butter (melted)


METHOD

Place and spread ingredients evenly in a 9” by 13” pan in the order given above.

DO NOT STIR, Just place one layer on top of the other, Carefully.

Drizzle the butter as evenly as possible on top.

Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour (for glass dish) or

Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 40 minutes in metal/paper dish or until Bubbling and the top becomes nicely browned.
